Short answer: a ClickFunnels expert typically charges about $50 to $200 an hour, and a complete custom funnel is usually quoted as a project in the low thousands. The sources we checked put freelance ClickFunnels experts at $50 to $100 an hour (Contra), established consultants at $100 to $200 (GrowthMentor), and funnel builders in general from about $20 for junior talent to $225 for the top tier (goLance). One custom funnel listing on Contra is priced at $2,999. Your ClickFunnels plan, $81 to $297 a month, is on top.
Rates come from pages the hiring platforms and marketplaces publish about their own markets: Contra’s ClickFunnels experts page and listings, GrowthMentor’s ClickFunnels guide, goLance’s 2026 funnel builder rate guide, Freelancer.com’s ClickFunnels hiring article (May 2023) and Upwork’s 2026 hourly rates guide, read October 19, 2026. ClickFunnels plan prices and the certification program details are from clickfunnels.com and the ClickFunnels help center on the same day. Every source sells or lists the service it prices, so treat the numbers as asking prices, not a survey.

ClickFunnels expert rates at a glance
Nobody audits these figures and the sources disagree, so each one is listed with where it came from.
| Source | Published rate | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Contra, ClickFunnels experts | $50 to $100 an hour; a custom sales funnel listing at $2,999; ad campaign consulting at $500 | Independent ClickFunnels freelancers, billed hourly, per project or per milestone |
| GrowthMentor, ClickFunnels guide | $100 to $200 an hour | Traditional ClickFunnels consultants, by expertise and reputation. GrowthMentor sells a competing $99 a month mentoring plan, so weigh it accordingly |
| goLance, funnel builder rate guide 2026 | About $20 junior, about $60 mid-level, up to $225 an hour top tier | Funnel builders across platforms, not ClickFunnels only |
| Upwork, hourly rates guide 2026 | $10 to $25 entry, $25 to $60 intermediate, $60 to $120 and up expert | All freelance skills on Upwork; Upwork does not publish a ClickFunnels-specific figure we could read |
| Freelancer.com, ClickFunnels hiring article | “A few hundred dollars for simple projects to several thousand dollars” | Project prices; the article dates from May 2023 |
The pattern is consistent even if the numbers are not. Small fixes and template setups sit at the bottom, a full funnel with copy, design, integrations and an order form sits at the top, and anyone who also writes the sales copy charges more than someone who only builds pages. These are the rates we found on US-facing pages. Offshore staffing pages quote lower figures; we left them out because the work you are buying here is mostly copy and judgment for a US buyer.
How much does it cost to hire a ClickFunnels expert for a funnel?
Multiply the hours by the rate. The table below uses a mid-market $75 an hour and a specialist $150 an hour, with hour estimates for typical jobs. Your quotes will differ; the point is the shape.
| Job | Typical hours | At $75 an hour | At $150 an hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fix one page: headline, buttons, form fields, mobile layout | 3 to 6 | $225 to $450 | $450 to $900 |
| Two-step opt-in funnel from a template | 8 to 15 | $600 to $1,125 | $1,200 to $2,250 |
| Sales funnel: sales page, order form, one upsell, thank-you page | 20 to 40 | $1,500 to $3,000 | $3,000 to $6,000 |
| Webinar funnel with registration, replay and sales pages plus email | 30 to 60 | $2,250 to $4,500 | $4,500 to $9,000 |
These hour ranges are our working estimates, not a published survey. They line up with the one fixed price we found (a $2,999 custom sales funnel on Contra) and with Freelancer.com’s “few hundred to several thousand” range. Sales copy written from scratch is usually the biggest variable: a builder who is handed finished copy works much faster than one who has to write it.
Are ClickFunnels certified experts worth paying more for?
Short answer: certification tells you the person completed ClickFunnels’ own training and has sold through funnels; it does not tell you they can fix yours. Use it as a filter, then judge them on live funnels they have built and the questions they ask about your numbers.
ClickFunnels runs a Funnel Builder Coaching and Certification Program. According to its help center, the program costs $5,500 (a $997 deposit, then the balance at once or in three payments of $1,800), enrollment currently runs through the 1 Comma Club Challenge, and certification has Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond levels. Bronze requires proof of $10,000 in funnel sales. Certified members are listed in the Funnel Builder Directory, which the help center describes as a public resource where people can find and hire certified experts, searchable by badge level and skill tags.
That is a meaningful bar compared with an unvetted marketplace profile. Someone who paid $5,500 and had to show sales has some skin in the game. It still says nothing about your niche, and a builder who is excellent at webinar funnels for coaches may know little about selling a physical product with shipping costs.
What to put in the brief before you hire
Most of the money in a funnel project is spent on discovery: the expert working out what is wrong before fixing it. You can do much of that yourself and hand over a brief that cuts the hours.
- Your numbers per step. Page views, opt-ins, orders and sales for each page, which ClickFunnels shows on every step. The step with the biggest drop is the one to fix first.
- Where the traffic comes from. Paid social, search ads, email or organic. A page written for a warm email list fails cold Facebook traffic.
- The offer and the price, plus any order bump and upsell, written down in one paragraph each.
- A list of the problems already found. A headline that names the product instead of the result, a first button below the first phone screen, an order form with fields you do not need, links leading out of the funnel, slow pages. These are the findings an audit produces, and handing them over turns an open-ended discovery job into a fixed list of edits.
- What done looks like. “Rebuild the sales page” invites a bigger bill than “fix these six items and keep the rest.”
If the leak turns out to be after the order form, where buyers start checking out and leave, the fix is often outside the funnel pages entirely: recovering the buyers who start the order form and leave is its own follow-up job, separate from rebuilding the pages.
Should I hire a ClickFunnels expert or fix the funnel myself?
Short answer: hire when you need a new funnel built, or new sales copy written. Fix it yourself when you already have a funnel with traffic and the problems are structural, because most structural fixes are a few minutes each in the ClickFunnels editor once you know what they are.
| Situation | Better route | Why |
|---|---|---|
| New offer, no funnel yet | Hire an expert or a certified builder | You are paying for structure, copy and setup all at once |
| Funnel exists, the message is wrong for the audience | Hire a copywriter, then edit the pages yourself | Copy is the hard part; the page edits are not |
| Funnel exists with traffic, conversions are low and you do not know why | Audit first, fix the known leaks yourself, then hire for what is left | An audit tool from $29 a month billed yearly finds the structural problems in minutes; an expert would bill hours for the same discovery |
| Agency running many client funnels | Audit tool plus in-house builder | Repeatable checks across every client step beat paying per review |
That third row is where most funnel owners actually are. ClickFunnels funnel optimization shows what Converto checks on each step (headline length, where the first button sits on a phone, form fields, competing links, load speed) and where you change each one in the ClickFunnels editor. Paste a step URL and you get a ranked list of fixes plus replacement headlines and button copy in about a minute. If the remaining work needs a professional, you hand them that list instead of paying for discovery.
What does ClickFunnels itself cost on top?
The expert’s fee is on top of the platform. ClickFunnels lists Launch at $97 a month ($81 billed annually), Scale at $197 ($164), Optimize at $297 ($248) and Dominate at $5,997 a year. Every plan includes unlimited funnels and pages. API access and the custom code editor start on Scale, which matters if your expert plans to connect a CRM or add custom tracking. The full breakdown, including the costs the pricing page leaves out, is in ClickFunnels pricing.
Questions to ask a ClickFunnels expert before you pay
- Can I see two live funnels you built, and their step conversion rates? Live URLs, not screenshots. Anyone confident in their work can share at least the structure.
- Who writes the copy? If they expect you to supply it, the quote will look cheap and the project will stall.
- Will you split test, and on how much traffic? A new ClickFunnels split test starts with 100 percent of traffic on the original, and ClickFunnels recommends at least 30 days. On a few thousand visitors a month a test will not reach a reliable answer; the working is in A/B test sample size. A good expert says so.
- What is fixed price and what is hourly? Revisions, integrations and email sequences are where quotes grow.
- Who owns the funnel? It should be built in your account, or shared to it, not held in theirs.
