Amplitude Alternative: Skip the Event Meter and Get the Page Fix

Amplitude answers how many and how often across your whole user base. It does not tell you what to change on the page. If that is the gap, paste a live URL into Converto and get the audit plus the variants.

Where each one fits

Amplitude is one of the strongest product analytics platforms there is. Funnels, retention curves, cohort analysis, and behavioral segmentation at real scale are its home ground, and since taking over the Statsig brand and customer base in May 2026 it also carries experimentation and feature management. If your question is how many users did X, and how that changed, Amplitude answers it well. Two things send people looking for an alternative. The first is pricing shape. Amplitude repriced during 2026 and now meters events rather than monthly tracked users, and the dollar figures came off the page with the change. As of August 2026 its own pricing page lists Free at 2 million events a month forever with 10,000 session replays and no card, Plus as starting at $0 behind an estimator with the first 2 million events free and scaling to 70 million events, and Growth and Enterprise as custom event-based pricing through sales. Any specific figure you find for Amplitude Plus, including the $49 a month that circulates widely, predates that change. Third-party procurement trackers report mid-size Growth deployments in the roughly $30,000 to $70,000 a year range and enterprise contracts from about $100,000, which remains reporting rather than a published price. The second is scope: analytics requires instrumenting events before it tells you anything, and even when fully instrumented it reports behavior rather than prescribing a change. A funnel report saying 41 percent abandon your pricing step does not write you a better pricing page. Converto is deliberately the other half. Paste a live URL, no instrumentation, no MTU meter, and it audits copy, layout, CTAs, page speed, and AI-readability, scores the page, ranks the leaks by likely impact, and generates ready-to-ship headline, CTA, and layout variants. It is not a product analytics platform and will not replace one. Self-serve from $19/mo. Suggestions are data-informed, not guarantees.

Amplitude alternative questions

Amplitude moved to event-based pricing during 2026, so older figures are stale. As of August 2026 its page lists Free at 2 million events a month forever with 10,000 session replays and no card required, Plus as starting at $0 behind an estimator with the first 2 million events free and headroom to 70 million, and Growth and Enterprise as custom event-based pricing through sales. Every plan includes session replay, experimentation, guides and surveys, and unlimited seats. SSO starts at Growth, which is sales-quoted.

For product analytics specifically, Mixpanel, PostHog, and Heap are the closest like-for-like options, and PostHog is the usual pick when you want analytics, replay, and flags in one self-serve product, though note that Heap publishes no price at any paid tier. For behavior visualization on a budget, Microsoft Clarity is free. For turning a diagnosed problem into a shipped page change, Converto audits a live URL and writes the variants from $19 a month.

There is a genuine free tier and it is more generous than most. It covers 2 million events a month forever, 10,000 monthly session replays, unlimited seats and no credit card, and Amplitude states that every plan including this one carries the full platform. The constraint is not seats, it is the event ceiling and SSO, which starts on the sales-quoted Growth plan. Heap, by contrast, includes SSO on its free tier.

Amplitude measures behavior across your user base after you instrument events, and reports what happened. Converto reads a single live page the way a skeptical first-time visitor would, names what is weak in the copy, layout, CTA, and speed, and generates the improved version. One sizes the problem across users, the other produces the fix for a page.

It helps but it is not the first purchase. Analytics tells you which step leaks and how badly, which is valuable once you have enough traffic for the numbers to be stable. Below a few thousand conversions a month, the higher-return move is fixing the obvious page problems, a vague headline, a buried CTA, a long form, a slow load, before you buy a measurement platform.

Paste your page and see what is leaking

Drop in any live URL and Converto audits the copy, layout, CTAs, speed, and AI-readability of the page you already have, then hands you ready-to-ship variants to lift signups and sales. Self-serve pricing, no snippet, no sales call. Suggestions are data-informed, not guarantees. Decide for yourself.
