Refund Policy
Effective 14 October 2026
In brief. Converto does not refund payments, except in the three situations listed under "Refunds are limited to three cases". You can paste a page on the homepage and see a real audit before buying, and you can stop renewals yourself from the billing portal whenever you like.
How Converto is billed
Each Converto plan is a subscription, charged in advance for a month or a year in US dollars. It opens the audit tool and the variant generator for that period, within the limits shown on the pricing page. The fee pays for access over the period, not for a number of audits, scores or variants, and it is due in full whether you audit one page or many.
Starting a subscription is a request for us to begin the service immediately. You accept that any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period ends at that point, because performance has already begun.
Refunds are limited to three cases
We refund only when one of the following is true and can be shown from the records, and only up to the payment affected:
- Charged twice. Our billing collected two payments for the same period by mistake.
- A payment you never authorised. Someone used your card without permission, you report it to us within 14 days of the charge, and our records and those of the payment operator support it. A claim is weighed on evidence, not accepted on its own, and we may ask for confirmation that you reported the misuse to your card issuer.
- The service failed completely. A confirmed fault on our side made Converto entirely unusable for a continuous period, you reported it at the time, and we could not resolve it. Slow audits, a page we could not fetch, partial faults and problems on your own side are excluded.
Any such refund is our only and total liability, is limited to what you paid for that period, and is returned to the card used for the payment. A refund granted once creates no right to a further one.
What does not qualify
- You changed your mind or no longer need conversion audits.
- You used the tool little or not at all during a paid period.
- A suggestion or generated variant did not lift your conversion rate. Suggestions are data-informed and results depend on your traffic, offer and market.
- You disagree with a score, the ranking of a leak, or the wording of a variant.
- A page could not be audited because it was blocked, password-protected, broken or too thin.
- A renewal was charged, including one that succeeded after earlier attempts failed.
- You believed the plan was a one-off payment. The pricing page, checkout, confirmation email and billing portal all state that it renews.
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelled right after it.
- A feature is not on the pricing page or does not behave the way you expected.
- You bought the wrong plan or billing term.
- Another person used your account, including someone you gave access to.
Turning off renewal
Plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling from the billing portal takes effect immediately for future renewals and needs no message to us. You keep your plan to the end of the paid period, and the remaining days are not refunded or pro-rated. Cancelling is not a refund request.
Failed renewal charges
Once a new period begins, access for it is granted and the fee for it is owed. If your card issuer declines the payment, the payment operator retries it during the next days. That is one unpaid invoice being collected, not a second charge. Cancelling while it is open stops later renewals but not the amount already due, and the renewal is not refundable once paid. Cancel before the renewal date in your account to avoid it altogether.
Making a request
Email [email protected] from your account address within 14 days of the charge, giving the date, the amount and which of the three cases applies. Requests sent later, from another address or by any other route are not considered. We handle them in order of arrival, without a guaranteed reply time, and we do not reopen declined requests.
Records and chargebacks
Creating an account means accepting our Terms of Service, this policy included, and our Privacy Policy. Checkout shows the plan, price, billing term and automatic renewal before anything is charged, and the confirmation email repeats it.
We keep, for every subscription, the time of purchase, the plan and price shown, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, and the account activity log (sign-ins, pages audited, variants generated) with the technical data stored alongside. The payment operator keeps its own record of each payment, including card country, the origin of the payment and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. These records decide unauthorised-charge claims.
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback opened without doing so breaches our Terms, results in permanent closure of the account, and we send the records above to the card issuer.
Older purchases
Payments made before 14 October 2026 are governed by the terms that applied when they were made. This policy applies from that date on.
