Short answer: a B2B SaaS PPC agency charges either a flat monthly fee, commonly $1,500 to $10,000, or a percentage of ad spend, usually 10 to 20 percent. The one SaaS-only agency we found that prints its prices lists $4,500 a month for accounts spending up to $10,000, on a three-month agreement. Ad spend is always on top, and landing pages are usually billed per page, at $750 to $950 each on that same rate card.
Fee figures come from pages the vendors publish themselves: SaaS Hero’s pricing page and its B2B SaaS PPC pricing article, and Understory’s B2B SaaS marketing agency pricing article, which quotes WebFX’s 2026 cost guide and HawkSEM’s 2026 PPC pricing guide (all read October 13, 2026). Every source here sells the service it is pricing, so treat the numbers as asking prices. No neutral body audits agency fees. Prices change; check the page on the day you sign.

B2B SaaS PPC agency pricing at a glance
SaaS PPC agencies sell the same work under three price tags. The table puts them side by side with the figures we could trace to a named source.
| Pricing model | Typical fee | Source | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flat monthly retainer | $1,500 to $10,000 a month | WebFX 2026 cost guide and HawkSEM 2026 pricing guide, as quoted by Understory | Spend bands that move you to a higher fee, channels billed separately |
| Percentage of ad spend | 10 to 20 percent on average, with 15 to 30 percent also quoted | HawkSEM, as quoted by Understory | A monthly minimum, and a fee that rises when you raise the budget |
| Custom retainer, no rate card | Quoted per client | Understory describes its own pricing this way, with a typical six-month minimum | Scope written loosely enough to drift |
| Setup or onboarding | $0 to $2,500 one time | SaaS Hero lists no setup fee on its pricing page and $1,500 to $2,500 in its pricing article | Tracking and CRM integration billed as a separate project |
| Landing pages | $750 to $950 per page | SaaS Hero pricing page | Pages you pay for and never test |
The one published SaaS PPC rate card we could read
Most agencies that work only with software companies do not print a price. Understory says outright that it does not publish a rate card. SaaS Hero is the exception, and its pricing page, as it read on October 13, 2026, lists the following.
| Plan | Monthly fee | Ad spend covered at that price | Term | Channels |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth Team | $4,500 | Up to $10,000 a month | Three-month agreement, billed monthly | Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, X and review-site ads in one fee |
| Growth Team plus Creative | $6,000 | Up to $10,000 a month | Three-month agreement, billed monthly | Same, with ad creative included |
| Landing page, basic | $750 per page | Not applicable | Per page | Static form and images |
| Landing page, advanced | $950 per page | Not applicable | Per page | Multi-step form and motion graphics |
The page also shows spend bands running from $10,000 to $25,000 up to $200,000 and above, with a price that changes by band. One thing a buyer should notice: the same vendor’s articles quote other numbers. Its B2B SaaS PPC pricing article describes flat fees from $3,500 a month for one channel up to $8,000 for three or more channels at $50,000 or more in spend, a $1,500 to $2,500 setup fee and month-to-month terms, and its page description says “starting at $1,250/mo.” We are not saying which is current. We are saying that a published price can differ between two pages of one website, so ask for the fee, the spend band, the term and the setup cost in one written quote.
How much does a B2B SaaS PPC agency cost at your spend?
The model matters less than what it works out to at your budget. This table applies the two common models to four spend levels. The percentage column is plain arithmetic at 15 percent. The flat column uses the $4,500 published figure at the lowest band and the $1,500 to $10,000 range elsewhere, because band prices above $10,000 were not readable.
| Monthly ad spend | Fee at 15 percent of spend | Flat fee | Flat fee as a share of spend |
|---|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | $750 (most agencies apply a minimum above this) | $4,500 published | 90 percent |
| $10,000 | $1,500 | $4,500 published | 45 percent |
| $30,000 | $4,500 | $1,500 to $10,000 quoted range | 5 to 33 percent |
| $100,000 | $15,000 | $1,500 to $10,000 quoted range | 1.5 to 10 percent |
Read across the rows and the pattern is clear. Under about $10,000 a month in spend, a specialist flat fee is a large share of everything you put into the channel, and a percentage deal is cheaper if the agency will take you at all. Around $30,000 the two models meet. Above that, the flat fee wins by a wide margin, which is why agencies that charge a percentage often cap it or slide it down as spend grows.
What makes SaaS PPC cost more than local PPC
A plumber’s agency optimizes for calls this week. A SaaS agency is paid to produce pipeline that closes months later, and three things follow from that.
The conversion is not the sale. A demo request or a trial signup is the event the ad platform sees. Whether it became a qualified opportunity lives in your CRM. An agency that reports cost per lead without importing pipeline stages back into the ad account is optimizing toward form fills, and a form fill from a student costs the same as one from a buyer.
The channels multiply. Search captures people already looking. LinkedIn reaches job titles, at a higher click price. Review-site ads reach people comparing vendors. Each one needs its own creative and its own page, and some agencies bill per channel. If LinkedIn is in your plan, LinkedIn ads management pricing covers that fee separately.
Volume is low. A B2B account can spend $20,000 in a month and record fewer than a hundred conversions. That is too few to split-test much, so the quality of the page each click lands on has to be right before the spend starts and not discovered by experiment afterward.
Is a B2B SaaS PPC agency worth it?
Short answer: usually yes above about $15,000 to $20,000 a month in ad spend, when the fee falls under roughly a quarter of spend and someone on your side can hold the agency to pipeline numbers. Below $10,000 a month the flat fee often costs nearly as much as the media, and a freelancer or a capable marketer in house is the better buy.
Here is the arithmetic for one case, with the assumptions stated so you can swap in your own. Say you spend $20,000 a month, pay $10 a click, and your demo page converts 3 percent of clicks. That is 2,000 clicks and 60 demo requests at $333 each in media. Add a $4,500 fee and each demo costs $408. Now move the page from 3 to 4 percent: 80 demos, $306 each with the fee included. The one-point change in the page is worth more than removing the agency fee entirely, which would only bring the first case down to $333.
That is the reason to check the page before you compare proposals. An agency inherits your landing pages on day one, and most will run traffic to them for weeks before proposing a rebuild at $750 or more a page.
B2B SaaS PPC agency or in house?
SaaS Hero puts the fully loaded cost of an in-house paid team at $120,000 to $200,000 a year in salary and tools. That is the estimate of a company that competes with the in-house option, so read it as a ceiling claim. Even so, one experienced paid media hire costs more than a $4,500 retainer, and a hire takes months to find.
The practical split is by spend and by stage. A founder-led company under $10,000 a month is usually best served by one person who owns paid alongside other channels, with a freelancer for account builds. From there to about $50,000 a month, a specialist agency on a flat fee is typically cheaper than a hire. Beyond that, most companies bring strategy in house and keep an agency or contractors for execution. Some teams at the low end decide the fee would do more as outbound and put it into personalized cold email sent at scale until inbound volume justifies an agency.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Which spend band am I in, what is the fee at the next band up, and what triggers the move?
- Is the fee per channel or for all channels?
- What is the minimum term, and what notice ends it?
- Is there a setup fee, and does it cover conversion tracking and CRM import of pipeline stages?
- Who owns the ad accounts and the landing pages if we part ways?
- Are landing pages included, billed per page, or left to us?
- Which number will you report against: leads, qualified opportunities, or pipeline value?
- Who does the work day to day, and how many other accounts do they carry?
Fix the page first, then decide on the agency
Converto does not replace a PPC agency. It checks the page the agency will send your clicks to. Paste the URL of your demo or trial page, add the text of the ad that points at it, and the audit scores the copy, the first call to action, the form, the phone layout and the load speed, compares the ad’s promise with the headline, ranks each fix and writes the replacement headline and button text. It takes about a minute and needs no access to your site.
Run it before you sign, so you know whether the page or the account is the weaker half. Run it again on every page the agency builds, since at $750 a page you are entitled to know it holds up. The demo request page audit covers the form and the first screen of a demo page in detail, SaaS landing page optimization covers trial and signup pages, and B2B landing page optimization covers longer sales cycles. If the open question is whether to pay a person or a tool for conversion work, CRO agency vs CRO tool sets out when each one pays for itself. Converto plans start from $29 a month billed yearly, which is less than three clicks at the click price used above.
For fee structures outside software, Google Ads management pricing covers general agencies.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a B2B SaaS PPC agency cost?
Flat fees commonly run $1,500 to $10,000 a month and percentage deals 10 to 20 percent of ad spend, according to WebFX and HawkSEM figures quoted by Understory. The one SaaS-only rate card we could read, SaaS Hero’s, lists $4,500 a month for accounts spending up to $10,000. Ad spend is billed on top.
Is flat fee or percentage of ad spend better for SaaS PPC?
It depends on spend. At 15 percent, the fee is $1,500 on $10,000 and $15,000 on $100,000. A flat fee is the more expensive model below about $10,000 a month and the cheaper one above about $30,000. A flat fee also removes the agency’s incentive to recommend a bigger budget.
What is the minimum ad spend for a SaaS PPC agency?
Agencies set their own floors and few publish them. As a working rule, once the fee is more than about a quarter of your spend, the agency is too expensive for the account. On a $4,500 flat fee that puts the practical minimum near $18,000 a month in media.
Do SaaS PPC agencies build landing pages?
Some do, usually as a separate charge. SaaS Hero’s pricing page lists $750 for a basic page and $950 for an advanced one. Ask whether pages are included, who owns them afterward, and how the agency decides a page needs replacing.
How long is a typical SaaS PPC agency contract?
Published terms range from three months, billed monthly, on SaaS Hero’s pricing page to a typical six-month minimum described by Understory. Month-to-month agreements exist. Get the term and the notice period in the quote.
What should a B2B SaaS PPC agency report on?
Pipeline, and not only leads. Ask for cost per qualified opportunity and pipeline value by campaign, which requires CRM stages to be imported into the ad platforms. Cost per lead alone rewards cheap form fills.
